Nightclubs in Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen is known for being a much more active city than Cancun and of course, when you visit Cancun, Playa del Carmen should already be on your list of places to visit, because it is close to all the best attractions, such as Xcaret, Xplor, Xenses and of course, without forgetting its beaches, bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

Of course, another time we will tell you about each of its characteristics that make it one of the most sought after places in the Riviera Maya, but today we will tell you about its best nightclubs where the fun ends until the sun comes up.

Coco Bongo

Coco Bongo is considered one of the best nightclubs in the world, because its music, shows, service and attention make it a place not only where you can go dancing, but also a place to entertain and enjoy yourself.

While the city of Cancun has its own location (which currently opened a beach club), Playa del Carmen is not far behind and best of all, this show, bar and nightclub is located in the heart of Quinta Avenida.

Mandala

Mandala is another nightclub that can’t be left out and if you know its Cancun brother, you know it’s a nightclub that never disappoints.

This place has a very different concept from the previous one and its ambiance is much more focused on electronic and reggaeton music.

It is worth mentioning that only on weekends they do a “small live show”, and on some other occasions world-class DJs come to play here.

Palazzo

Continuing with our list of the nightclubs in Playa del Carmen that you have to visit or choose from according to your tastes and fun focus, we find Palazzo Playa del Carmen.

A few years ago the city of Cancun came to have this nightclub among its nightlife lines, and although the acceptance was very good, it no longer has it today. But this does not mean that in other places there is not this nightclub, places like Playa del Carmen.

It is worth mentioning that this nightclub has a similar concept to the Mandala Playa del Carmen nightclub, since it can be said that they are “brothers”. So if you like one, you will surely like the other.

La Vaquita

La Vaquita is another well-known nightclub in Cancun and Playa del Carmen, this is because it is a “semi open” discotheque or in other words: From outside you can see the atmosphere and why not, you can buy your “six” at the nearest oxxo and dance.

La Vaquita

Clandestino

Clandestino is a bar and restaurant that we can’t leave out either. As such, it has a similar concept to Señor Frong’s, but with a little more elegance, style and a show that is usually continuous, mainly on weekends.

Tapanko VIP Beach

Last but not least, we find the Tapanko nightclub, which is a gentlemen’s club, and needless to say, you can make your imagination fly.

The embassy

Do you want a jovial atmosphere? Well then La Embajada is the nightclub you are looking for in Playa del Carmen. This nightclub manages the cover concept and it really isn’t very expensive.

And that’s not all, because even though you pay a “cover to enter”, which as we said is very economical, so are the drinks. So if you are on a budget, but want to have fun: This place is for you.

Club 69

Looking for a gay club in Playa del Carmen? Just as Cancun has the 11:11 nightclub, Playa del Carmen has the Club 69. A perfect place to enjoy the LGBT+ atmosphere both local and tourist.

In this place you can enjoy a show every weekend and of course: The best electronic music, as well as reggaeton and various Latin genres.

Club 69

Rakata Playa del Carmen

Maybe you remember “Rakata” as one of the songs of its moment around 2005 and whose interpreters were Wisin and Yandel, two great reggaeton artists. Well, with Rakata nightclub in Playa del Carmen pays tribute to this song with the best Reguetón songs.

That’s right: If you are looking for a place where the music is reggaeton from the past years, as well as the best songs of the moment, Rakata is the place to go.

Rakata Playa del Carmen

Conclusion

This is a small list of the best places to have fun in Playa del Carmen and we are still missing many more, but don’t worry, we will be adding them little by little and if you are in Cancun and don’t know how to get to Playa del Carmen, don’t worry, we can offer you a transfer service to Playa del Carmen, with totally low prices.

Puerto Morelos, the secret of the mexican caribbean.

pelicano-puerto-morelos

In Puerto Morelos tranquility reigns with open skies, long stretches of beach and a small town atmosphere. This is the place to come and relax:  watch the sunrise on the beach, meet the locals, explore the natural wonders such as the coral reef 500 meters from shore, work on your tan, or simply soak up the serenity.

Wedged between the bustling cities of Cancun and Playa del Carmen, it has maintained its peaceful atmosphere of a charming Mexican fishing village living up to its nickname “La Joya del Caribe” (Jewel of the Caribbean). The community, a mix of locals and foreigners, works hard to protect Puerto’s status as a National Marine Park and keep development to a minimum. Its close proximity to the airports and bus terminals  makes Puerto Morelos a perfect base for exploring the Yucatan peninsula.

As the surrounding area outside of Puerto Morelos expands and develops with ‘all inclusive’ resorts, the neighborhoods of Puerto Morelos are comprised of modest homes, low-rise hotels and basic cabañas. Lodging opportunities range from modest palapa-style cabanas with thatched roofs, to air conditioned condo-style hotels with meal plans, spa services, jacuzzis and swimming pools. There’s certainly something to satisfy every taste and budget in Puerto Morelos.

You can get by with English, but Spanish is not superfluous. Most places accept US dollars but not credit cards. Almost all prices are quoted in Mexican pesos and it is generally cheaper to pay in pesos, than in US dollars. There is no bank in town, but several bank cash machines for withdrawals.

Just across the Highway 307, the main north-south route on the peninsula, is Colonia Zetina Gazca, commonly known as “La Colonia.” This inland community is mainly single level dwellings for local Mexicans and a few ex-pats, and contains amenities such as small food stores, pharmacies, and several casual restaurants serving simple fare.

You can do several activities in this little town, but these are some good options to have a nice time with friend an family:

  • Sit on the white sand beach in the shade of a thatched palapa
  • Visit the Jardin Botanico just outside town and watch out for the spider monkeys.
  • Birdwatching in the mangroves.
  • Browse the various shops around the central square.
  • Visit the Crococun Zoo Enjoy 1 hr tour where, if you are brave enough… you can walk among crocodiles!. The guide will make you have a fantastic (and unforgettable) experience, interacting with parrots, spider monkeys, snakes, deers and many wild animals more. This tour is really fantastic, don’t have to miss it.
