Nichupte Lagoon Cancun

Usually we always talk about the 22 kilometers of beaches that Cancun has, but something we rarely mention is that on the other side of these 22 km of beaches, we have a lagoon body that is home to a beautiful and varied wildlife.

And of course, we are talking about the Nichupte Lagoon which has a little more than three thousand hectares and, among the great odysseys that it offers us is to enjoy the spectacular and unparalleled, where the Caribbean Sea is divided in an almost magical way with the water of the lagoon.

Remember we mentioned that you can do several activities here? SWIMMING IS NOT ONE OF THEM, because as we said above, the lagoon keeps a wild wildlife and no, you will not find lions or tigers, but you will find several hundred crocodiles in its waters.

In fact, it is forbidden to swim in the lagoon, although there are some areas that are a little safe to swim in due to their transparency (not to say that they are very safe). For example, we have the small lagoon strip of the so-called art garden.

Because this is a small channel for yachts, boats and jet skis to cross, it is not very common to see crocodiles on the prowl and also, the waters of the channel are transparent, so many locals take advantage of it to cool off for a while.
